MOTC LogoKnit Together Women's Ministry

Knit Together is for people of all ages who want to knit, crochet or do needlework for local charities.  This is a group for all skill levels from never having done anything to advanced!  We have made baby blankets, trauma bears, baby clothing, booties, toys, and washcloths with plans for more.  So far we have made several donations to Life Choices Pregnancy Care Center, Cumbee Center to Assist Abused Persons and Aiken Public Safety with several others on our list.

We meet every Thursday at NCPC in the parlor from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM and welcome new people to join at any time. We have a short devotional and prayer time and then we work on our projects and receive help from one another while fellowshipping. We have more requests for items than we can deliver. Come help local charities while learning new skills, expressing creativity and having a boatload of fun!

While dropping off 8 baby blankets at the Cumbee Center one of the NCPC knitters was surprised to hear that there where no blankets for any of the 6 baby cribs until that point in time. The Cumbee Center worker was delighted to have the donation and said they would use anything the NCPC knitters wanted to bring them!

At Life Choices Pregnancy Care Center, Kathryn Wade said our knitted items help make the "New Mother" baby baskets some of the only new items these mothers and children might ever have. She also told the NCPC knitters that hand made items mean a lot to their clients because it really makes them feel cared for.
